The Reality

You know patient engagement matters. You just don't have time for it.

Between patient appointments, handling staff, and keeping the practice running, creating a professional patient newsletter always gets pushed to "next month".

Meanwhile, your patients are…

  1. Searching Dr Google and ChatGPT for health information — often getting it wrong
  2. Forgetting about your practice between visits
  3. Not knowing what services you actually offer
  4. Hearing from everyone except their own GP

And here's what most practices miss

Consistent patient communication directly impacts your SWPE figures.

The maths is simple. The execution? That's been the hard part. Until now.

The Benefits

Built for time-poor practice managers who want results

Four reasons practices switch from meaning to send a newsletter, to actually sending one every month.

  1. Save hours every month

No blank pages, no writer's block, no design headaches. Start with professionally written health content each month, then customise it in our visual editor if you want to — no tech skills required. Preview, approve, done.

  2. Improve your PIP payments

Consistent patient touchpoints drive better SWPE metrics, and better SWPEs mean increased Practice Incentives Program payments. The newsletter pays for itself many times over on engagement and return visits alone.

  3. Meet accreditation guidelines

RACGP standards require practices to provide appropriate health promotion and prevention information. You get documented, regular patient education communications and a digital health hub embedded on your website.

  4. Keep patients coming back to you

Remind patients what services you offer before they go to the chemist, another practice, or start searching online. Patients connect quality communication with quality care.

6th Edition · 2026

Prepare for the RACGP 6th Edition Standards

The upcoming 6th Edition — planned for release in early 2026 — introduces dedicated environmental sustainability criteria for the first time. Practices will need to demonstrate active steps to reduce their environmental footprint, including minimising waste and adopting more sustainable operations.

Your digital-first Your Health newsletter and print-on-demand patient flyers are ready-made evidence of your practice's commitment — no extra work required.

Read the Draft 6th Edition Standard
  • Digital-first delivery, not a print run
  • Print on demand, only what you need
  • Documented patient education, monthly

How It Works

Three steps from setup to sending

Set the practice up once, then it is a few minutes a month — or none at all, if you turn auto-send on.

  1. Set up your practice profile

Add your logo, choose your colours, and create doctor profiles. Upload your practice information and set up your subscriber list — import existing patients via CSV or start fresh with new sign-ups. Once your profile is complete, it stays that way.

    About 20 minutes, once

The Practice Profile screen in the Mediflare app, with the practice's business name, legal name and description filled in, and tabs for contact details, opening hours, appointments, team, fees and policies.
Practice profile in the Mediflare app
  2. Customise this month's newsletter

Open the visual editor, add your practice news or announcements, and adjust the layout if you want to. See exactly what patients will receive — on desktop and mobile — before you send.

Want to save even more time?

Turn on auto-send and we'll deliver your newsletter automatically each month. You can still review it beforehand, or trust us and let it go without the admin — because some months are just plain busy.

    10–15 minutes per edition

  3. Patients get value, you get results

Patients receive your newsletter by email. They can read it online, access Your Health Hub on your practice website for more articles, use health calculators, and browse your practice resources. The printable PDF version looks great in your waiting room too.

    Every touchpoint strengthens the relationship

Our Heritage

30 years of trust, reimagined for today

Your Health didn't just appear yesterday. We've been helping Australian practices communicate with their patients since 1996.

  1. 1996

    Print · quarterly

    The first printed newsletter

Back when having a website was considered cutting-edge technology. Practices posted health news to their patients four times a year.

  2. Three decades

    Print · quarterly

Four editions a year, every year

For three decades, practices received printed newsletters quarterly. They were good. Really good.

  3. 2026

    Email · hub · print-on-demand · monthly

    So we rebuilt everything

But patient attention spans changed, communication channels evolved, and frankly, quarterly wasn't enough to stay top-of-mind anymore.

What Changed

Everything we rebuilt, and why

  • The Patient Hub's newsletter archive: a monthly edition for every month, each with its PDF ready
4 editions a year 12 monthly editions More touchpoints
  • A short health article from the hub open on a phone, beside the hub's article library
Long articles Bite-sized, with deeper dives Matches how people read now
  • The same edition three ways: the Patient Hub on the practice website, the printed newsletter, and the email on a phone
Print only Email, web hub and print-on-demand Meets patients where they are
  • The hub's health tools, with the BMI calculator open and showing a result in the healthy range
One-way communication Interactive tools and resources Engagement, not just information

Same trusted health content. Same quality standards. Same commitment to helping practices build better relationships with their patients. Just evolved for 2026 and beyond.

How It Compares

Your Health Digital vs doing it yourself

The same newsletter, built two ways. One of them costs you a morning every month.

Your Health Digital compared with creating a newsletter yourself
Feature Your Health Digital Doing it yourself
Platform cost $50 per month, unlimited subscribers $150+ per month with Mailchimp*
Content creation Professionally written monthly You research and write everything
Design work Professional layouts included You design from scratch each time
Time per edition 10–15 minutes to customise, or none Hours to create, design and format
Print versions Auto-generated, printer-friendly Create, design and format separately
Digital health hub Included — embed it on your website Doesn't exist
Article library 30 years of searchable content You build it from zero
Health calculators Built-in tools included Source and code them yourself

*Mailchimp cost based on a patient database of up to 5,000 subscribers.

The reality

Even if Mailchimp were free, you'd still need to create all the content, design every edition, and maintain it monthly. Your Health Digital does the heavy lifting — you just customise, or don't, and send.

The cost of doing nothing

Without regular communication, patients forget about you between visits, don't know what services you offer, and go elsewhere for health information. Your SWPE figures stay flat or drop. The cost of doing nothing is higher than you think.

FAQs

Questions practice managers actually ask

If yours isn't here, ring us — you'll get someone who knows the answer.

Call us
Can I try it before committing?

We don't have a demo account, but we'd love to walk you through it on a call. Reach out via the contact page and we'll book a time.

Do I need technical skills to use it?

Not at all. The visual editor shows you exactly what patients will see as you make changes. If you can use email, you can use Your Health Digital. Most practice managers are comfortable after their first newsletter.

What if I want to review before it sends?

You can review and approve every newsletter before it goes out. Or enable auto-send to save time — you'll still get a preview email before patients receive it.

What happens to my subscriber list if I cancel?

It's your patient list. It stays yours. Export it anytime, no lock-in. We don't market third-party services to your patients, sell their details, or use your data for anything beyond your newsletter. Australian data sovereignty maintained, guaranteed.

How often do you publish new content?

Every month. You'll receive a new professionally written newsletter covering seasonal health topics, preventive care, and health innovations. Consistent touchpoints keep your practice front-of-mind.

What if I already send newsletters through another platform?

You can import your existing subscriber list and switch over. Most practices find the time savings and professional content make the transition worthwhile within the first month.

Can I add my own content to the newsletter?

Definitely. Each newsletter has a dedicated section for your practice news, announcements or messages. Add as much or as little as you want — or use our content as-is if you prefer.

How does Your Health Hub work on my website?

We provide a simple embed code your web developer or IT expert can install in minutes. Or we can help — it's straightforward, and a one-time setup.

Does this help with RACGP accreditation?

Yes. RACGP standards require practices to provide appropriate patient health information and promotion. Your Health provides documented, regular patient education communications — exactly what accreditation reviewers look for.

Can I print newsletters for my waiting room?

Absolutely. Every newsletter automatically generates a printer-friendly PDF, optimised for standard office printers — no edge-to-edge printing required. It looks great in both colour and black and white.
